Sisters Ylang and Yxing Guo, from Honolulu, Hawaii, perform Pablo de Sarasate’s virtuosic Navarra, Op. 33.
Yxing appeared on Show 394 in January 2021 in a duo with her sister Ylang. They also performed on a Virtual Concert in 2021.
Yxing Guo (violin), 13, hails from Honolulu, Hawaii. Yxing is homeschooled and in the eighth grade. She studies violin with Ignace Jang and is a member of the Hawaii Youth Symphony. Yxing comes from a large musical family – with ten brothers and sisters, all of whom play music. Outside of music, she loves surfing, soccer, and basketball.
Music has the unique ability to bring joy to our lives – especially in the hands of young people. Daily Joy is a reminder of music’s power to uplift, inspire, and unite.
Daily Joy is a project of From the Top. It began in the very early days of the Covid-19 pandemic and continues today to offer a much-needed respite from the anxiety and worry that we encounter in the world.
