17-year-old Justin Wahby gives a thrilling performance of Chopin’s Sonata No. 3 in B Minor, Op. 58 (II. Scherzo).
Justin appeared on Show 403, airing the week of October 4, 2021.
Justin Wahby (piano), 17, hails from Elk Grove, CA and is a freshman at Stanford University. He studied piano at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Division. His teachers include Natsuki Fukasawa and John McCarthy. Justin has participated in the Southeastern Piano Festival, John Perry Academy of Music, Orfeo International Music Festival, and Sacramento Youth Symphony Chamber Music Workshop. He was a clarinetist in the Sacramento Youth Symphony for six years. Justin is also a leader in the online initiative H.O.P.E. (Harmonies of Pianists Everywhere). He was the Music Teacher’s Association of California (MTAC) Young Artist Guild Recipient and a National YoungArts Foundation Winner, Honorable Mention in Classical Music. Justin is interested in music composition, creative writing, business and entrepreneurship, and computer science.
