Harpist Leila Hudson from Yorktown Heights, NY has been venturing into some latin music with her extra time at home! Today, she’s sharing an excerpt of “Baroque Flamenco” by Deborah Henson-Conant!

Leila Hudson (harp), 17, from Yorktown Heights, New York is a senior at Yorktown High School. She studies harp with Frances Duffy and is a member of New York Youth Symphony. She was the harpist of the 2018 and 2019 National Youth Orchestra 2 (NYO2), a program of Carnegie Hall. In addition to music, Leila enjoys speedskating and track and field.
Music has the unique ability to bring joy to our lives – especially in the hands of young people. Daily Joy is a reminder of music’s power to uplift, inspire, and unite.
Daily Joy is a project of From the Top. It began in the very early days of the Covid-19 pandemic and continues today to offer a much-needed respite from the anxiety and worry that we encounter in the world.
