Superstar American violinist Joshua Bell collaborated with From the Top in 2017 on the popular video “Here Comes the Sun”. He frequently performs with From the Top Host/Pianist Peter Dugan.

Ian Maloney (cello), 12, is from Hackensack, New Jersey and is in the 7th grade at the Elisabeth Morrow School. He has been playing cello since he was three and studies with Madeleine Golz at The Manhattan School of Music. He is a winner of both national and international competitions and has been a featured soloist with numerous orchestras. During the summer Ian has attended Music@Menlo and Greenwood Music Camp. He loves chamber music and plays piano and trumpet. Outside of music, Ian enjoys baseball statistics, reading, and playing tennis.
Dylan performed on Show 307, recorded in Boston, MA, on June 28, 2015, at age 11.

Dylan Wu, 10, cello, hails from Manhasset, New York, and has been playing the cello for 6 years. Dylan has garnered several top accolades, including being named an Award Winner in the 8th International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in Moscow, Russia, as well as being named Grand Prize winner in the Adelphi Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition, among others. He attends the Juilliard School Precollege under the direction of Minhye Clara Kim. Asides from music, he enjoys playing chess, reading, playing tennis and playing golf.
Music has the unique ability to bring joy to our lives – especially in the hands of young people. Daily Joy is a reminder of music’s power to uplift, inspire, and unite.
Daily Joy is a project of From the Top. It began in the very early days of the Covid-19 pandemic and continues today to offer a much-needed respite from the anxiety and worry that we encounter in the world.
