Maxine Park (piano), 13, lives in Hanover, New Hampshire and attends eighth grade at the Crossroads Academy in Lyme. She studies piano with Mila Filatova. In the fall, she will attend Phillips Exeter Academy through a Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship. She has won awards in the Chopin International Piano Competition, Paderewski International Competition, Steinway Society of Massachusetts Piano Competition, among others. Outside of music, Maxine enjoys studying math, psychology, writing poems, reading horror novels, and solving rubik’s cubes.

Katherine Liu (piano), 11, is from Wellesley, Massachusetts, where she is in fifth grade at Fiske Elementary School, and studies with Dorothy Shi. Her love of the piano began at just 1 year old. Since beginning lessons at age 3, she has won first prize in the Bay State and Steinway Piano Competitions, has performed at Symphony Hall, Steinert Hall, and more. This past year, she was a Grand Prix winner in the Chopin International Piano Competition, in Hartford, Connecticut. Outside of music, Katherine enjoys swimming, ballet reading, math, science experiments, and learning about different countries.
Michael has performed in multiple From the Top music videos including Fantastic Musicians and Where to Find Them, 8 Stages of Practice Room Grief, and Yoda, Princess Leia, & Darth Vader Sit Down at a Piano.
Music has the unique ability to bring joy to our lives – especially in the hands of young people. Daily Joy is a reminder of music’s power to uplift, inspire, and unite.
